Player & Practice Tool Support
I can’t see the player or hear the music after pressing play. What’s going wrong?
Our interactive practice player is designed to support educational rehearsal, including tempo adjustment and looping for study. It works on the majority of modern systems, however some older or unsupported devices may not be compatible with all educational features. Please ensure your browser and operating system are fully up to date. If problems persist, please contact us so we can investigate further.
Below is a list of browsers that should work with our practice player. If you are using one of these and still experience issues, please get in touch.

Can I use my mobile device to practise?
Yes. Our practice player has been tested on iPhone and iPad. Some mobile browsers support playback but may not support advanced educational features such as tempo adjustment. Android devices using Chrome should play practice audio but may not support tempo control. We continue to improve mobile compatibility.
Can I download a practice file at a different tempo?
Tempo changes made within the practice player do not alter the original educational audio file. Downloaded practice files are provided at the original recorded tempo. Further tempo adjustment after download depends on the software or device used by the student.
Account & Access
How do I access practice materials?
Practice materials are accessed using credits. Credits allow you to unlock the educational audio and MIDI files associated with a specific piece for individual study and rehearsal.
What are credits?
Credits provide access to educational practice materials in our library. They operate on a pay-as-you-go basis, allowing students to unlock only the materials they need for practice and exam preparation.
I clicked on a piece, then bought credits. Why isn’t it available in my account?
If you selected practice materials before purchasing credits, your selection may not have been saved during checkout. Please return to the piece and unlock the practice materials using your available credits.
Do my credits expire?
No. Credits do not expire provided your account remains active. Simply sign in at least once per year to keep your account active. We’ll send a reminder before any inactivity action is taken.
Can I get a refund on credits?
Unused credit packs may be refunded within 30 days of purchase. Once credits have been used to access educational materials, refunds are not available.
Can I re-access my practice materials?
Yes. Once educational practice materials have been unlocked using credits, they remain available in your account for streaming and download in support of ongoing individual study.
Practice Material Availability
Do you have every grade available?
We cover grades 1 to 8 for woodwind, brass, and strings. While we aim for full syllabus coverage, there may be gaps due to syllabus changes or availability of source materials. If you require a specific piece, please contact us.
Can I request a piece to be prepared?
Yes, in most cases. If a piece is part of a UK exam syllabus and the sheet music is available, we can usually prepare the practice materials. If the piece is not syllabus-based or source material is unavailable, we may not be able to fulfil the request.
How long does it take to complete a request?
If we already own the required sheet music, practice materials are often ready within 24 hours. If we need to source the music, we will keep you informed throughout the process.
Does access include sheet music?
No. We provide MP3 and MIDI backing tracks or instrumental practice files for educational rehearsal only. Sheet music is not included.
If a piece is listed, does that mean it is on a current syllabus?
Most pieces have appeared on a UK exam syllabus at some point. Not all are currently set works. We recommend checking the latest syllabus for your chosen exam board to confirm suitability.
